The aim of the University of Tor Vergata International Division is that of being the focal point for european and non-european cross cultural integration and evolutionary processes. It is in these terms that the division promotes, elaborates and runs bilateral and multilateral programs at a scientific-didactic level of cooperation. The mission of the University is to contribute to people’s education and training, to scientific research and to the technological, organisational and social innovation needed to achieve a truly sustainable development in Italy, Europe and worldwide pursuant to the Sustainable Development Goals approved by the United Nations in September 2015. As the implementation of the actions needed to accomplish such ambitious purpose requires high skills and management of complex processes, not only is the University of Rome Tor Vergata deeply committed to excellent education and scientific research, but it also closely cooperates with the private sector, public institutions and non-profit organisations at national and international level. This aims at favouring the adoption of policies and behaviours focusing on sustainability both in terms of well-being for people and ecosystem conditions. The University currently has 43,000 Students, 1,538 Faculty Members, 962 Technicians and Administrative Staff. The campus area covers a huge 600 Hectares and includes 6 Schools (Economics, Law, Engineering, Arts and Humanities, Medicine, Science), offering 113 first level degrees, II level degrees and single-cycle degree courses and 157 Post Graduate and Master Courses.  (Source: the university’s website)
