the University of Jyväskylä is one of the largest and most popular multidisciplinary universities in Finland. Our seven faculties are today hosting some 15,000 students from all over Finland and from nearly 100 countries around the world. The University of Jyväskylä offers high-quality, research-based Master’s degree programmes in English tuition free. International students are welcome to apply to the 2-year programmes, which lead to an officially recognized Master’s degree and qualify for doctoral studies. Our core fields of research and education are: Basic Natural Phenomena – The Structure of Matter – Education – Learning and Teaching in the Future – Languages – Culture and Social Change Processes – Physical Activity and Wellbeing – Human Technology. The University of Jyväskylä has agreements with some 260 European universities, covering the whole of the European Union. Furthermore our International Office is responsible for coordinating international cooperation in the field of education with its partner universities. To obtain the residence permit, foreign students have to make a bank deposit of at least €6000 for each year of studying to cover living costs in Finland. ۬Obtaining a part-time job without Finnish language knowledge is difficult.
