NHH – Norwegian School of Economics
NHH was founded in 1936. With its affiliated institutes SNF and AFF, NHH constitutes the oldest and largest centre for research and study in the fields of economics and business administration in Norway. NHH strives to be among the foremost in Europe within its fields, maintaining its long held belief that excellence in research is a prerequisite for excellence in teaching. NHH has around 400 employees. The vast majority of the academic staff hold PhDs, and the faculty includes NHH Alumni and Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics, Professor Finn E. Kydland. The school sets out to recruit only the best students and currently has approx. 3300 students across the wide spectrum of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Executive MBA and PhD programmes. Our international profile includes, partnerships and joint ventures with leading institutions overseas give NHH an international profile that extends the school’s network and activities right across the globe. The Norwegian Government requires foreign students to arrive in the country with enough funds to be able to support themselves throughout the full study period.
