International University College of Turin
The International University College of Turin (IUC) was established in 2006 for the critical study of law and finance, as the institutional foundations of global capitalism. It has since pursued this mission through an openly interdisciplinary and comparative agenda. The IUC programs specifically look to engage students and young scholars from all over the world with special emphasis on the periphery, or ‘global south’, with leading figures in economics, law and the humanities, including: Guido Calabresi (former Dean of the Yale School of Law), Ugo Mattei (Universities of Torino & California-Hastings), Josef Halevi (Sydney), Duncan Kennedy (Harvard Law School), Stefano Rodotà (co-author of the European Charter of Fundamental Rights), Günter Frankenberg (Frankfurt), Jan Toporowski (SOAS London), Talha Syed (California-Berkeley), and Avi Singh (New Delhi). As a non-profit institution that abides by the highest standards of financial accountability, from 2012 the International University College of Turin is eligible to receive grants through CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) America.
