The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences offers practice-oriented study programs of a high academic standard, opening the way to a broad range of attractive professions. Our international orientation smooths the way to the global job market: we offer not only a wide range of language courses and language learning levels, but have partnerships with 60 universities worldwide. Most of our students now graduate with a Bachelor or Master degree, in conformity with international standards. Furthermore, our university offers through its wide range of further education programs “Lifelong Learning”. Our four faculties and over 30 study programs reflect the academic profile of our university. The broad range of study programs is being continually supplemented and extended to include a range of future-oriented subjects. The campus with its facilities and cultural activities, contributes to an excellent study atmosphere: the well-designed student restaurant, cosy cafés and spacious layout. The wide range of sports available, mostly free of charge, is unique throughout Germany. The German authorities require a minimum amount, which students must have at your disposal each month. At the moment this lies at €648 per month, which comes to a total of €7776 a year.
You do not need a visa in Germany if you are an EU national or citizen of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.
How much am I allowed to work?
European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) nationals have the same status on the job market as Germans. You are allowed to work as much as you wish without a permit. However, you should remember that you should not work for more than 20 hours a week during the semester (the same applies to German students). Otherwise you will be required to pay pension insurance contributions. Furthermore, you wouldn’t have enough time for your studies.
